Editorial Aproach

I approach editing as an act of authorship and responsibility. My role is not simply to assemble footage, but to shape narrative clarity, emotional rhythm, and meaning with care.

Whether working in documentary, television, or founder-led storytelling, I’m drawn to projects that require trust, discernment, and a deep respect for the people at the center of the story.

My editorial process is grounded in listening and depth. I listen to and dive deep in to the footage, as well as listen to the people behind it. I focus on compelling storytelling and the truth of the material first, create a structure before style, create a style that set amplifies the story, then polish.

I work closely with directors, producers, and creative leads to clarify intention, identify narrative through-lines, and build work that feels cohesive, creative, and considered. The goal is always to entertain and elevate the story.

HOW I WORK

My work spans several narrative contexts, often overlapping:

  • Documentary and nonfiction film

  • Long-form television and series

  • Founder-led and cultural storytelling

  • Immersive and institutionally grounded narrative projects

  • Cinematically compelling short-form

Across formats, my contribution remains consistent: entertaining & compelling storytelling, editorial judgment, narrative architecture, and the ability to hold emotional and structural complexity at once.

I’m most effective in collaborations where there is:

  • A clear point of view, or the desire to find one

  • Respect for lived experience and nuance

  • Time and space to shape story thoughtfully & creatively

I’m most interested in projects with depth, intention, and long-term impact.

As an editor and editorial partner, I often serve as a connective presence—helping align vision, material, and execution. This can include shaping narrative structure, refining tone, and supporting creative decision-making throughout post-production.

The specifics vary by project, but the through-line is consistent: collaboration built on trust, clarity, and care.
